2006

hearing to have in depth public discussions of the City's 5 year Plan including
such issues as proposed projects and a greens-fee structure which price resident

special interests.

San Diego Municipal Golfers Alliance (SDMGA) has
submitted a proposed plan to the city which puts the puts the golf courses
and San Diegans, not buildings or special interests, first. The
SDMGA plan responds to the City's 5 Year
Plan in a beneficial way for the resident golfers of San Diego. SDMGA has
also developed a Table that that compares
important aspects of each plan which clearly shows the benefits of our plan
to San Diegans. It is essential that we attend
the meeting and call the Council Members listed below. Please attend the meeting if
at all possible; numbers are important.

City Council Chambers, 202 “C” St., Donna Frye’s Natural Resource and Cultural

Mission Bay. The plan includes:
-
Increased green fees for
all courses.

Elimination of Senior
“green card.”
-
Elimination of County
resident discount.
-
Reduction of TPMGC/TPWGC

-
Weekend rates for Friday
play.
-
New fees for long term
reservations that limit access for daily public golfers
-
Makes you pay upfront for
a clubhouse no one wants
-
Continuation of Hotel tee
times and Hotel sponsored extra tournament times.
-
Approval of the Century
Club’s 11,600 s.f. office building on the driving range.
